99% Women leave broke Men. 100% Men are willing to build A Women : Is 50 Cent Really Lying Though? #TalkinOuttaTurn
Is 50 Cent Really Lying Though?
Ayo, hold up. Pull up a chair, grab a chopped cheese, and let's have a conversation.
Because 50 Cent done threw a grenade into the middle of relationship discourse and then casually walked away smiling.
In a recent interview, Fif basically said what a lot of people think but are scared to say out loud: when a man goes broke, a large percentage of women are heading for the nearest exit. But when a woman falls on hard times, most men will try to help, protect, provide, and get her back on her feet.
Now the internet is acting like somebody slapped a pigeon in Times Square.
Some folks are yelling, "That's facts!"
Others are screaming, "That's misogyny!"
But if we're being real, the truth is somewhere in the middle, sitting on a park bench minding its business.
Love or a Business Transaction?
Let's keep it a thousand.
A lot of people today aren't dating for love. They're dating for benefits packages.
Folks are out here looking at relationships like they're applying for corporate jobs.
"What's the salary?"
"What's the health plan?"
"How many PTO days come with this relationship?"
The dating game has become so transactional that people ask about your income before they ask about your character.
And that's where the famous "Microwave Mentality" comes into play.
Everybody wants the finished product.
Nobody wants the process.
They want the successful entrepreneur, not the guy sleeping four hours a night building the business.
They want the homeowner, not the man working overtime to buy the house.
They want the king but would've laughed at him when he was carrying bricks to build the castle.
It's New York City energy at its finest.
Everybody loves the new luxury building.
Nobody wants to remember the construction site.
The Social Media Hallucination
Part of the problem is social media got people believing everybody is rich.
You open Instagram and suddenly every dude is a CEO.
Every woman is a lifestyle influencer.
Everybody's on vacation every week.
Everybody got a luxury vehicle.
Meanwhile, half of them are one missed paycheck away from eating ramen noodles and arguing with customer service about a declined card.
The internet has people chasing appearances instead of stability.
People fall in love with the resume and ignore the character references.
Then they wonder why things crash and burn six months later.
The Parking Spot Theory
Now, let's be fair.
Not every woman jumps ship when things get difficult.
There are ride-or-die women out here.
Women who helped men build businesses.
Women who worked double shifts while their men went to school.
Women who held households together during layoffs and rough patches.
Those women absolutely exist.
The issue is they feel rarer than an empty parking spot in Midtown during rush hour.
And even when you find one, there are often outside influences trying to sabotage the situation.
The Committee Nobody Asked For
You ever notice how some relationships don't fail because of the two people involved?
They fail because twenty-seven unpaid consultants keep offering opinions.
Everybody got something to say.
The bitter friend.
The jealous cousin.
The perpetually single homegirl who somehow becomes a relationship expert every brunch.
Suddenly she's sitting at the table talking crazy.
"Girl, you can do better."
"He ain't where he needs to be."
"What does he bring to the table?"
Meanwhile, her own table folded years ago.
And let's not act like men don't do it too.
Some dudes stay in women's business like they're getting paid hourly for gossip.
They know every relationship detail.
Every argument.
Every breakup.
Every text message.
Brother, aren't the Knicks playing somewhere?
Shouldn't you be doing literally anything else?
The Build-A-Bear Relationship Problem
Now let's switch sides.
Because men aren't completely innocent either.
A lot of men have a serious superhero complex.
They see a struggling woman and immediately go into rescue mode.
They become Captain Save-A-Situation.
Fix the credit.
Pay the bills.
Buy the classes.
Fund the business.
Upgrade the lifestyle.
Become emotional support.
Financial support.
Technical support.
Customer service.
Roadside assistance.
Everything.
And sometimes it works out beautifully.
But sometimes?
You create a monster.
When Somebody Starts Smelling Themselves
Let's talk about it.
You help somebody level up.
You invest time.
Money.
Energy.
Patience.
You push them toward greatness.
Then one day they open their new wings and suddenly forget who helped them fly.
Now they're acting brand new.
Talking different.
Walking different.
Looking at you like you came with the old version of the software.
The same person who needed directions three years ago is suddenly giving TED Talks about independence.
And right on cue, the peanut gallery shows up.
"You're too good for him now."
"You upgraded."
"You outgrew him."
Nah.
Maybe you just forgot who was holding the ladder while you climbed.
The Real Issue Nobody Wants To Admit
The real problem isn't men.
The real problem isn't women.
The real problem is unrealistic expectations.
People want loyalty before giving loyalty.
They want support before giving support.
They want understanding before offering understanding.
Everybody wants a teammate.
Nobody wants to go through training camp.
Strong relationships aren't built when everything is going right.
They're built when life starts throwing furniture.
Anybody can stay when the money is flowing.
Anybody can stay when the vacations are happening.
Anybody can stay when everything is easy.
Character reveals itself when things get ugly.
That's when the masks start falling off.
The Final Verdict
So was 50 Cent speaking facts?
Partly.
Was he exaggerating?
Probably.
But his statement exposed a conversation a lot of people have been avoiding.
Some women leave when hard times arrive.
Some men leave too.
Some men build women up and get abandoned afterward.
Some women help build men and receive the same treatment.
At the end of the day, the issue isn't gender.
The issue is character.
Stop looking for a finished product.
Stop trying to rescue people who don't want to be saved.
Stop letting family, friends, and social media become third partners in your relationship.
And most importantly, pay attention to how people move when adversity shows up.
Because anybody can love the sunshine.
The real test is who grabs an umbrella and stands next to you when the storm starts pouring.
Message
Protect your peace, trust actions more than words, and stop ignoring red flags just because somebody looks good on paper. A real one isn't the person who shows up when you're winning. A real one is the person who stays when life starts handing out losses. Choose people based on character, not convenience. Word to the wise. 🎤💯
